Gadsden Purchase?
This Gadsden Purchase is making me interested. What's so much about this thing that's it's on the the top search today or at least part of the top 100 searches. Anyone? I do know little about Gadsden Purchase and youll see it here- Gadsden Purchase.

Don't know if you ever found out the explanation to the spike in interest on 12/11/08 and after in the Gadsden Purchase, but here's the reason: It was the subject of a question on that night's airing of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" on Fox. I was the contestant, and it was the question I got wrong, eliminating me from the game. I left with a nice cash winning, but not as much as I would have had I either walked away before trying to answer the question or actually answered it correctly (either of those prizes would have been quite substantial). The question asked me to identify the 2 current US states that the area of the purchase included. Although I thought aloud that it might be AZ and NM, I veered further west (and north!) and went with CA and NV!
Anyway, I'm amused to see that it was one of the most googled terms that night! A lot of people shared with me that they too would not have known the answer.
