Google Adsense Response On Advertising with GPT Sites

A reader named Maher told me this:

beware lady influence this might ban you from adsense its said in adsese tos that advertising your site in gpt and paid to click programs may result you in a ban

Because of the remarks above, I immediately emailed the Google Adsense Team and inquired if I am violating the Google Policies by advertising my sites at Box of Dollars. Here's their response:

Google AdSense to me

Hi,

Thank you for your email. While it is not explicitly listed on our program policies page at https://www.google.com/adsense/policies, we do not endorse or encourage the use of any third-parties for the purpose of increasing traffic to your site.

We recommend that you exercise caution when using third-parties to ensure that you do not violate the AdSense Terms and Conditions. Please keep in mind that AdSense participants are solely responsible for verifying that any tools or software used in conjunction with AdSense do not violate the AdSense Terms and Conditions at https://www.google.com/adsense/terms.

For additional questions, I'd encourage you to visit the AdSense Help Center ( http://www.google.com/adsense_help ) or the official AdSense blog ( http://adsense.blogspot.com ). Alternatively, feel free to post your
question on the AdSense Help Forum (http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help?utm_source=txft ).

Sincerely,

Becky
The Google AdSense Team

While the response on my inquiry has not directly answered whether the form of advertising at Box of Dollars is prohibited, I have officially stopped adverstising my sites through Box of Dollars. A careful look at the Google Adsense Policies, you will see this line:

Invalid Clicks and Impressions

Clicks on Google ads must result from genuine user interest. Any method that artificially generates clicks or impressions on your Google ads is strictly prohibited. These prohibited methods include but are not limited to repeated manual clicks or impressions, using robots, automated click and impression generating tools, third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, or any deceptive software. (emphasized) Please note that clicking on your own ads for any reason is prohibited. Failure to comply with this policy may lead to your account being disabled.

Therefore, advertising at GPT sites is not allowed! I advise all blog owners to never advertise your sites in any paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, or else you will have your adsense account banned.

Sometimes, we tend to forget about the Terms and conditions of the programs we are in. So let us always re-read, re-visit the program policies.

My thanks to Maher!

I still see website owners advertising their sites to GPT websites. They should be warned! Let other bloggers know of this. Link to this post if you must!

Interesting post. I never thought this would raise concern with Google Adsense, but those guys tend to jump out on even the smallest infractions.
